India beat New Zealand 3-2 in Paytm ODI series


Team India has beaten New Zealand 3-2 in the Paytm ODI series to lift the trophy. The 5th and final ODI of the series took place in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Andhra Pradesh. The match began as the final decider of the series and poised well for both the teams. Jayant Yadav from Delhi got his ODI debut for India in the match. Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first and India scored 269/6 in 50 overs with the contributions from Rohit 70 runs, Virat 65 runs and Dhoni 41 runs. Kedar Jadhav and Axar Patel chipped in few more runs to the total. And New Zealand began their innings badly by losing Martin Guptil in the first over itself and they have never recovered from that loss and lost wickets in a regular intervals. Indian spinners put the Kiwi batsmen in check and didn’t give any chance to settle down or score runs. And they all bundled for 79 runs in 23.1 Overs. This is their lowest total against India in ODIs. Amit Mishra topped the bowling charts with a 5 wicket haul and a couple from Axar Patel. Umesh, Bumrah and Kedar Jadav got a wicket each. Amit Mishra is the Man of the match and Man of the Series for his excellent bowling performances
