Bathukamma in Guinness Records


Proud for all Telangana People, Our State Festival BATHUKAMMA
and its Celebrations on 9th day (Saddula Bathukamma) at LB Stadium in Hyderabad organized by Government of Telangana now grabbed place in Guinness Book of World records as the biggest festival celebrated by Nine thousand two hundred and ninety two (9292) people approximately at a place around a Maha Bathukamma which is a Gaint Floral construction made with 20 feet of Height and 35 feet rounded, and small other Bathukamma’s surrounding the Maha Bathukamma.
Around 10500 People were there in the stadium to celebrate, and women stood around Maha Bathukamma in 35 rows and celebrated by singing the rhythmic traditional uyyala songs representing the culture of Telangana.
Kolatam played by other young girls is an special attraction for the show.
Continuously for 12 minutes all together in the stadium with heavy rain pouring on celebrated this grand Maha Bathukamma to step into the Guinness book of world records.
The representatives from the Guinness watched the celebrations and announced about the record.
